Questionnaire Response
Eric Robinson - Kewatinook
Why did you decide to run in the 2011 Manitoba election?
I am running to represent the constituents of Keewatinook to provide equal access to services for all. As the largest and most isolated riding in the province with the highest percentage of First Nations and aboriginal residents, we face great challenges. With experience, fortitude and action, we will continue to advance our issues without jeopardizing what matters most - our Treaty and Aboriginal Rights. The Canadian Wheat Board is responsible for over 90% of the crops shipped through the Port of Churchill all of which is at risk because of the Conservatives.
What experience will you bring to compliment your role as MLA?
I ensure that First Nations and Aboriginal issues are addressed, embraced and championed in the public sphere. As MLA since 1993, I am honored to defend, support and promote our customs, beliefs and practices in the constituency of Kewatinook.
Is there anything in particular you would like to change in our province? In your electoral division?
Access to employment & education, housing, health care, water quality & opportunities for our youth.
Our questionnaire procedures can be found in our FAQ.
